My methods are tailored to the individual student. I focus on proper breathing, posture, and instrument placement in the early part of my lessons. Then, I focus on scales and harmonies. My teaching methods varies from different styles . I teach music theory, jazz improvisation, musical concepts for all instruments, as well as saxophone and flute lessons . I prefer to teach lessons for one hour, this gives the students a full spectrum of their weekly assignments. I first began teaching the student basic fundamental which includes breathing, fingering, basic rhythms and notes .Once the student has developed these things, I develop a repertoire for the student, The first half of the lesson deals with technical exercises in the second half deals with creative aspects of music such as theory and improvisation. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
