Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs.I would love to give my students opportunities to give recitals in public because that is a way to check themselves of what they actually learned from class and also that will gain their confidence and interests of playing piano in public. I love working with any person that is interested in learning. I work as a substitute teacher during the day teaching various subjects. I have ran my own school and taught music as one of the subjects at the school. I am very patient and passionate with anyone that proves to me that they are really interested in learning. I will start to present solo repetoire suitable for their first recital show when a student has gained an understanding of the basics. From the time I was able to play intermediate to advanced piano literature I always had a few students who expressed interest in learning. At the time it was more an aside for me rather than a true avocation. In 1988 a dear friend and piano teacher asked if I would take over her private students and classes for a few months as she recovered from an illness.
