I have also played with a number of different orchestras. Once I even got to play with Cirque du Soleil! Some of my favorite gigs are in the pit for musicals, operas, and ballets, where I frequently perform as concertmaster. The advancement of Kimberlys soulful style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that she was always surrounded by many styles of music. Her mother is a part-time Gospel pianist and/director and her father is a part-time Gospel/RB bassist. Being exposed by both parents to a wealth of music as a child influenced her music development. As a music teacher, I am passionate about giving people of all ages the tools for self-expression and collaboration. I am a performer, flautist and singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia and I have been an active member of the music community for over a decade. With a background in poetry and creative writing, my compositions combine storytelling and collage, and draw from my roots in folk music and RB.
