Having played piano from a young age, music has always been a big part of my life. I was classically trained in piano for 12 years, from age 5 through the end of high school. During college, I was able to continue independently building upon my musical abilities because of my strong foundation in music and previous years of training. I took several music courses at Chaffey College, which contributed to my earning an Associate's degree in University Studies: Arts and Humanities, after which I transferred to California Polytechnic University, Pomona where I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Geography. My teaching style includes using multisensory techniques that get the students reading music, listening to music, playing music, and more. I have discovered over many years of teaching that there are many different styles of learning different concepts. What may click for a student in one part of a lesson visually may not click aurally.
