My initial lesson with the student will involve gauging the interests and skill level of the student, as well as determining what motivates him/her and creates excitement about music. Thereafter, I choose one or two method books which seem to best fit the student's ability level and contain exercises and short etudes which will maintain the student's interest and motivation. I'm a dedicated and hard-working teacher that works to provide a consistently growing love and appreciation for music in her students. In 2016, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Clarinet Performance at Morehead State University, and in April 2018 I graduated with my Master of Music degree at the Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music. I have performed in various professional and semi-professional musical settings including: 2 years in the Cave Run Symphony Orchestra, playing out of clarinet/flute/saxophone books for multiple musicals, and most recently traveling around the Midwest states playing clarinet for the Guerrilla Chamber Collective (a chamber group dedicated to performing new music by up-and-coming composers).
