Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

However, my overall goal is to have the student enjoy learning how to play their instrument as well as help grow their passion and love for music. For beginning students whose primary goal is membership in a school performance ensemble, I will usually choose a beginning band method that give them a good foundation in fundamental playing techniques. As they gain basic skills at this level, I expand the content of lessons to include easy solo repertoire. For older and adult beginningstudents, I usually use instrumental methods more suited for older learners. In addition, I incorporate easy solo literature for public performance. Read More

I am a young and hardworking individual born and raised in Tulsa Oklahoma. I’ve been playing music ever since my brother got his guitar when I was about 9 and I probably played it more than he did. Music has always been a big part of my life and I enjoy everything that comes with it, playing, writing, listening, and teaching. I have been teaching on and off since 2016. People would ask me for spontaneous lessons and I would meet them either in their home. Most of my lessons were on vocals or piano. During this time I would also teach trombone lessons after school. My lessons are always energetic and entertaining. I always try to keep them engaged by setting an achievable goals for them for that lesson. If a student doesn't have milestones that they have reached, then it decreases engagement and motivation. When they finish their level books, they receive a composer statue. And at each recital they receive a special certificate. We have a recital in the Fall and Spring and play at a nursing home for Christmas. I am a member of OMTA and so we play a memorized piece in the Fall festival and for junior and state auditions in the Spring. Playing for these are not a requirement, but I try and encourage my students to participate. Read More
