I've had quite extensive experiences in teaching. Teaching and tutoring began during my high school days. I would help out after classes or teach piano on the side. Coming up will be my 6th year in teaching piano. I've also tutored my peers all throughout college in music theory, musicianship, and ear/aural training. I've interned at an elementary school for a semester teaching general music. I was raised in Vero Beach Florida, and began playing guitar and piano at age 10. I graduated from the Schumann School for the Visual and Performing Arts, part of the Indian River Charter High School system. There afterward I moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to attend McNally Smith College of Music where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance in 2015. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 10 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 3 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
