Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Depending on the level of the student and the desired style of music they are interested in, I offer a variety of different books to get the student started. Once they get to a certain level, I will start my students on the Hanon book of exercises. this book is a must for any pianist. These lessons provide the technique and knowledge needed to master the piano. No matter what style of music my students like to play, the Hanon book will always be valuable for all levels. Read More

I am an alumni of the prestigious Manhattan School of Music where I earned my degree of bachelor of music in classical voice with my voice teacher Mignon Dunn. I chose to attend Manhattan School of Music after earning my Associate of Arts degree in music education under the tutelage of mezzo soprano Mrs. Janet Rabe- Meyer. There is also an Alfred's adult course for the older students. It really conveys everything from actual performance pieces to theory concepts. Once the basics of the piano are learned (i.e reading music, note names and finger positions etc.), pieces will begin to be played. Not to place all my eggs in one basket, I will also personally pick pieces I feel are appropriate with the current skill level of the student, ranging from pop to classical to ragtime to anything I feel would be fun and challenging. I feel the best approach is to used what the student may learn the best. My personal favorite studies are made by Alfred's Piano Methods. I like to used their lesson, theory, and technique books. Hanon and Czerny exercises are also important for developing sound and technique. I require my student to practice for a hour our more a day.
