Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. For those students who love to forge ahead, I use HARMONY AND THEORY. I don't tend to start out teaching how to read music, but if suggested/desired, I'm aok w/ the notion. I focus on chord tones, diatonic, symmetrical and other scales, syncopation/rhythms, the clave in Latin Music, the metronome, jazz chords vs other chords and more. I'm a passionate instructor who cares deeply about a students education. In 2015, I graduated from West Johnston High School as drum captain in my band program. Since then I've performed in Alchemy Independent, an open class indoor percussion group. I've been with the group since 2017, and I have completed 2 seasons with them.
