I've been teaching music lessons for about two years. I have worked privately with two students in the past for over a year. I believe one of the most important parts of teaching is to make it fun and encouraging. I emphasize the idea of seeing continuous progress on their instrument. Music has always help a special place in my heart. I have been playing music since I was 6 years old. My mother is also a piano teacher. I was a traveling musician for many years playing with bands all over the country. I am currently attending the Spokane Falls Community College and am enrolled in their Audio Engineering program. I was in the United States Navy for 5 years. During that time I had a band put together so while we were in different ports all over the world we could play music for people That was one of the most thrilling things I have every had the pleasure of experiencing. I have been teaching music since I was 18 years old and have been doing it as my only source of income since 2010. The majority of my teaching was at a music school where I did individual lessons and seasonal group sessions. There I would pick 18-25 songs, cast students on parts, work on the songs for 3-4 months, and then put on a big concert. A few examples of shows I have directed are Iron Maiden, best of the 80s, Prog Rock, Global Metal, History of Punk, Grunge, Motown, Soundtracks show (music from film, TV, and video games), Devo, Rush, and many many more.
