My teaching philosophy revolved around the idea that music should be fun and engaging. While many teachers start their students off by learning how to read music, I like to begin with actually playing and familiarizing yourself with the instrument and later translating that information to written music notation. I then teach the necessary building blocks in order to reach certain goals that the student and I set in a timely manner.
