I've been teaching guitar for the past 4 years now, and I like to focus on a fun way of learning I achieve that by starting to learn songs right away no matter what level you have on guitar, we explore your favorites artists and I plan my class around that, teaching you chords progressions, scales, improvisation, how to read music, how to read tablatures, finger independence all of this keeps the class fun while learning all the information needed to be proficient with the instrument, we can go from a basic understanding of the guitar to a professional level. I mostly do paperless. Less money involved, less waste of papers. I use a lot of videos and recordings. The principal instrument that needs to be trained is the hears. Brain and fingers immediately after. When a method is necessary, based on level of the student and topics studied, I recommend Creative Guitar by Guthrie Govan 1 and 2; Advancing Guitarist by Mick Goodrick and The Lesson by Victor Wooten. This last one is not properly a method, but an incredible book about music and musicians, that teaches more than the big majority of methods out there Read More

I began teaching while at college, where I taught private lessons part-time in between classes and on weekends. Since moving to Los Angeles, I have been teaching several students through local music schools, as well as through online video lessons. I've also developed an online presence with social media, where i've been regularly uploading clips of my playing, and teaching those concepts to followers through transcription and in-depth analysis of my concepts and methods.I enjoy teaching students the things that inspire them the most to practice, whether it be a new guitar concept or even just learning a song they love!
