For Band students I normally use the method used in class or I will use the Ed Suede Band method. My teaching style is very unique in that its based off improvisation and ear training with music theory lessons. Having just one of the three is a great skill, but developing an ability to read, play and improvise music is what, in my opinion, makes a great musician. I acknowledge hard work and dedicate myself to developing that passion for music in each lesson. Having a desire to get better is essential as it will take time, practice and patience. Read More
Instruments: Flute
In my studio students learn to make music for music's sake. I customize each lesson to fit the individual student's needs and goals. It is personally rewarding to me to see my students grow and progress. It is my goal to instill in my students a life-long love of music. Read More

We like lessons to be fun and challenging. Sight reading abilities really help musicality and ability for spontaneity. Part of each lesson is spent on good posture, breathing and excellent practice methods. We slow down the difficult passages and get them played correctly. Attention to tone and a great armbiture are always kept in mind, as well as hand position and minimal movement as the songs and exercises are played. Read More

As they grow more advanced, we will look at separate books such as the 24 melodic studies by Moyse and intermediate books that are also by Wye. Read More
