As a foundation, I start my beginner-level students with basic the basic understanding of rhythm patterns, dynamic control, and basic limb independence. I use Benny Greb's "The Language of Drumming" as it has proven to be a fun and effective learning tool for well over a decade. After graduation I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston.I have been performing live since I was in middle school in many ensemble settings ranging from jam band to metal. I have taught kids from ages 9 to fourteen, and am open to teaching anyone of any skill level. I also offer lessons in composition and recording/engineering music production. I encourage regular practice and make sure, especially for kids, that they leave every lesson with something new.
