Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Drums
In the first lesson I will take the time to find out what kind of music you are interested in playing. At that point, I will offer exercises and grooves for you to work on in that genre, as well as other fundamentals for the building blocks of the foundation of music you will be able to play. We can also find certain songs that you might be interested in playing and work on grooves/fills for said songs in addition to the Two Sound Level Technique broken down by David Garibaldi (Tower of Power) http://books.google.com/books/about/Future_Sounds.html?id=3V9xJIMYfxEC.I specialize in Funk, Latin, Fusion, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, R+B and Soul. This helps ensure that the student can thrive musically and in life. Also I do a lot of "visualizing" while teaching my students. Often, if they are struggling, I'll tell them to say something like, "I can do it" aloud a few times. I also have them close their eyes and really listen to me playing so they can visualize what it's like to play the chord or song before they even start to actually play. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Saxophone, Drums, Bass Guitar, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
One of the unique experiences I offer is the opportunity to try multiple instruments in a single lesson. Whether its drums, piano, guitar, bass, saxophone, or even music production, students can discover what truly excites and motivates them. I believe music is like a language. Once you understand its core principles, you gain the freedom to express yourself across different instruments. My goal is to help each student build that strong foundation, then guide them as they dive deeper into mastering the instrument that speaks to them most. Read More

I have also specialized in teaching Rhythm to "non-Drummers" who are experiencing problems with their timing. Read More

My teaching style relates to my personal practice of building and nurturing a rapport and working relationship with individuals, in any setting, including teaching. If the student(s) and I can foster mutual trust and understanding, we can be productive as we work together. As the great William Vennard once noted, I think of the lesson not only as “the student’s lesson” but as “our lesson.” I try to listen to the student’s desires and needs and to discern what will work best for the personality and interests of the student, both generally, and in that particular session.
