I have a great passion for teaching. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, and experience of music with everyone. I graduated from Rollins College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Percussion Performance in 2013. I am interested in all styles of music and I encourage my students to have an open mind; to make them well rounded musicians. I have had the privelage to perform with the Bach Festival Orchestra of Winter Park at their 75th anniversary concert. Read More

I've found the best way to teach is to cater to each student's interest. While early or beginning players may require some fundamental grunt work, there is always a way to assure that it's fun too. Teaching not only offers a perspective outside of the normal working profile, it acts as a way to reinforce systems and concepts for the instructor which, in turn, creates an ideal learning environment for the student. I teach real life practical approaches to playing and learning. Read More

We do not come out of the womb and handed a dictionary. Instead, we listen, imitate, speak, and then learn how to read and write. If I have students try to learn how to read music, while focusing on technique and all the other aspects of music, they become very overwhelmed and frustrated. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
