Instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Drums, Tuba, Oboe

My starting point for my students is typically having them practice posture, hand position and proper mouthpiece placement. After this has been satisfied, I have the students blow using a breathing exercise. From this, I have the students play the first three notes out of their Habits of Good Musician Book 1. Students will continue in the book and proceed to their daily lesson exercises until they are ready to play other higher level music pieces. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Violin, Trumpet, Saxophone, Clarinet, Bass Guitar

I HAVE A SOME BUT AGGRESSIVE TEACHING STYLE BECAUSE I WANT STUDENTS TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY CAN RESPOND UNDER PRESSURE WHEN PERFORMING. I ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO SET GOALS AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE ACCOMPLISHING EVERYTHING THAT THEY WANT TO ACCOMPLISH. I ALWAYS START OFF AND TAYLOR THE STUDENTS DESIRE OF LEARNING SO THAT THEY ARE EAGER TO LEARN AND HAVE FUN WHEN THEY PRACTICE OR PERFORM. I ALWAYS TRY TO KEEP THE PACE MOVING SO THAT THEY WILL NOT LOSE FOCUS AND STAY ON PACE FOR SUCCESS. Read More

Instruments: Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet

I started teaching privately when I was in high school. I taught just a couple of kids and found it fun. I was able to learn at a relatively high level in school and continued that through grad school. Read More
