I am originally from upstate New York and earned both my BM and MME at SUNY Fredonia. I have been teaching private and small group lessons for over twenty years. I also have extensive experience teaching ensemble music in public and private schools in Buffalo (NY), Houston, Madrid, Spain and Chicago. I have also worked as an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Fredonia, Roosevelt University, and Lake Forest College. Books I use for teaching Piano is the Piano Adventures series of books by Nancy and Randall Faber, which is a great lesson book and a good basic piano method for beginners through intermediate level students. For guitar I use the Hal Leonard Incredible Chord Finder and the Warren Nunes Jazz guitar Rhythm and Background Chords and the Solo Patterns book. I began teaching about 5 years after I began playing guitar and piano. I started by teaching private lessons for local students my age and then slowly worked up to teaching in a music store for all ages and skill levels.
