I began my musical training at age 8, began playing professionally as a teenager, and have been teaching for 15 years. I graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Music Education, with a minor in Percussion Performance. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to perform several nights a week around Austin, and to have toured the US multiple times during the past two years. Working with beginner level middle school students, it was my job to help them choose songs to play, learn their individual parts, and help them rehearse as a band.
