Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Progress is not always easy when learning to play a new instrument. Everyone learns at there own pace, and with each lessons I will set attainable goals for the student. it is best when students have varying difficulties of material within their material in order to provide opportunity for satisfaction despite whatever struggles they may have. I encourage daily practice, even if only for small amounts of time. Effective practice requires some level of independence, and I focus a lot our time on the art of practicing, and how to focus your attention in order to get the best out of your practice time. In my musical instruction, I try to take a holistic approach. My goal is to help the student become a transmitter and reciever of music. In my lessons, I use ear training, music theory, motor skills, physical coordination and even singing to help students acquire a complete understanding of music making. For beginner students, I base my syllabus off of music education series such as Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, and other well known education series. It varies depending on the age and development of the student. I have a collection youtube-type internet tutorial videos that I keep handy for specific techniques and purposes. For instruments such as vocals, I find its important to teach students techniques of strengthening the voice while also learning proper vocal preservation. Read More

For beginning guitar students i typically like to go over basic and essential elements of playing guitar such as posture, how to correctly hold a pick, how to tune a guitar, etc; all depending on where they stand. As i can see that the student is able to have a grasp on a few fundamentals i like to introduce them to various chord and scale exercises.
