Singing is all about breathing techniques. No matter your age or vocal development, it is imperative that one learns how to breathe correctly. After teaching proper breathing techniques, I introduce many fundamentals of music, such as simple vocal warm ups and sight singing exercises. Of course, as we move into repertoire choices, I always try to find out what my students are interested in singing. I believe that with enough passion and dedication anyone can be a musician. Hard work and my love for music have had me teaching private lessons, classes, and ensembles since 2003. My primary focus is in clarinet and composition. But my study and expertise spans also to voice, ukulele, and guitar. Since 2011, I have attended voice programs at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Brevard Music Center, and VOICExperience, and I regularly work in churches and sing weddings.
