Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

This will vary given the student's abilities and particular intentions for study. In general, I focus on five distinct areas of learning: technique, theoretical understanding, reading, intuitive playing/learning by ear, and performance. I like to keep each lesson fluid and organized, by maintaining structure within segments of study. I love music. I still find joy and challenges every time I play. I began studying at a very young age and alot of things are imbedded in my soul. Listening is the most important gift we can give ourselves. Whether in music or in life we can all teach ourselves the gift of listening. I make sure to first introduce my students musical fundamentals, then progress to repertoire that is appropriate for the students' age and skill level. I scaffold learning concepts and sequence them so that students can confidently progress from one level to another. Music theory is woven into my teaching methods, strengthening students' understanding of their instrument. For piano, I like to teach from the Faber Piano Adventures books. For voice, I implement vocal exercises that can be easily replicated and practiced. Read More

My goal is to pass my deep love for music on to everyone that I teach. I will work hard for my students, and in return hopefully they will work hard for me. My teaching style is focused on the specific needs of the student in correspondence to their current skill level.
