I continued to study classical, pop, and jazz stlyes, and began performing at age 7, and teaching in high school. Since college, I have maintained a private studio, either at home or in pretigious music schools, and have also taught in the school setting. My style is light and cheery - I make the kids feel important and I acknowledge their progress regularly. I am not a knuckle-rapping teacher. Discipline comes naturally out of a love of learning and I notice when they are practicing and let them know and that induces more and continuous practicing.
