I try to introduce my students to different styles and genres of music. Their repertoire ranges from dances and songs to variations, concertos and sonatas. In order to be able to play such an array of genres, one requires what I like to call a "laboratory of skills". Scales, exercises and studies,played at the beginning of every lesson,are a way to develop the said "laboratory".While working with little kids I try to combine traditional and Suzuki methods.In order to insure that my lessons are both educational and entertaining I make my little students move,dance,clap and sing. I am a passionate and patient instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education, with a focus on Euphonium. I have worked as a long term sub in middle school band and have taught privately since that time. Vicki is a classically trained violinist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She believes that with proper and efficient training, anyone can reach their goals on violin playing. Her goal as an educator is to provide students with resources to further develop their musical technique with an organized mindset. For the past 7 summers, she has performed at the Emerging Artists Concert in UVM Music Hall in Burlington, Vermont. Through CCMs Young Artist Program, she also had the opportunity to give recitals and interact with audience members at retirement communities in Cincinnati, Ohio. Read More
