For young students, I start them in beginner books while singing fun songs that motivate them. For older students I pick method books more specific to their age, learning style, and progress while still focusing on key points of interest for the student. I use the Suzuki method as well as the Doflein method books, and will choose other specific methods depending on what else the student would like to learn and what will help develop style,technique, and musicality.
