Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I use the Suzuki method for beginners! Once they reach intermediate level I start incorporating more etude books and a wider range of repertoire. I also teach beginners a lot of singing so they can really listen for intonation at an early stage. Listening skills are very important to me as well as music theory! From there we will focus on building technique, musicality, and theory knowledge while focusing on cello repertoire. To end each lesson, we'll break out something fun whether that means learning a new pop song, jazz piece, or playing a cello duet.
