I am a recent university graduate who is passionate about sharing my love of music with students, and developing that devotion with them! I have a special interest in performing, so my lessons reflect my training in performance with major orchestras. I currently participate in the Seven Hills Symphony here in Cincinnati, as well as smaller chamber ensembles for paid gigs. I began teaching when I was in high school at 17 years old. My private teacher was abroad for the summer, so she gave me her younger students to teach while she was away. Since then, I have taught students of all ages between four years old and varying adult ages. My main goal in teaching is to inspire a passion and love for music. I began teaching privately as a high school student, working with begnning students at the middle school. I have taught privately in my home and in students' homes since graduating from college. Regular practice is very important and something I emphasize with my students. I like to include a mixture of classical and modern music in my lessons, so that students enjoy what they are learning and playing. If a student does not enjoy their time playing their instrument, they will not want to put the practice in and lessons will become a point of argument.  Read More

Music has been a significant part of my life since I was a child, and it's importance has grown as I've gotten older. I started, as many do, in the fifth grade when I started playing the saxophone which I continued on through high school. When I was 13 I started playing the electric guitar, and I would later switch to the classical guitar at 19. In college I learned some piano as well as bassoon in addition to the methods and materials classes that I had to take as a music education major. Read More

Vicki is a classically trained violinist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She believes that with proper and efficient training, anyone can reach their goals on violin playing. Her goal as an educator is to provide students with resources to further develop their musical technique with an organized mindset. For the past 7 summers, she has performed at the Emerging Artists Concert in UVM Music Hall in Burlington, Vermont. Through CCMs Young Artist Program, she also had the opportunity to give recitals and interact with audience members at retirement communities in Cincinnati, Ohio. Read More
