I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I start all students with getting a firm grasps of the basics of tone production and air support. I do this through long tone exercises as well as scale work to start learning more notes on the instrument. I focus on slowing incorporating more dynamics, articulation, and time signatures from there. My teaching style is student oriented meaning the more questions you bring me the better. I will allow students to learn at their own pace. For younger students I allow them to explor the instrument while showing them how to hold it and play. For older students I teach simple songs as well as scales and arpeggios. Vicki is a classically trained violinist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She believes that with proper and efficient training, anyone can reach their goals on violin playing. Her goal as an educator is to provide students with resources to further develop their musical technique with an organized mindset. For the past 7 summers, she has performed at the Emerging Artists Concert in UVM Music Hall in Burlington, Vermont.
