I teach children a supplimented Suzuki method, which means I teach the Suzuki Violin Method books with supplimental repertoire in addition such as fiddle tunes and other method books. I introduce note reading from the beginning in the most simple form, and gradually teach them along the way. I use scales, arpeggios, and tonalization to establish a solid technique in my first-year students which enables them to tackle intermediate skills such as shifting and vibrato with ease. Read More

 In 2013 I received my Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental Music and Music Theory from Bluefield College. I own and conduct Ovation Symphony Orchestra. I have played for the Rappahannock Youth Symphony and the Bluefield College Orchestra and in duets and trios with members of the Roanoke Symphony. I live in Virginia and have played for local wineries, art museums, and restaurants; I also play weddings, dinner parties, and private events. I enjoy playing music because music echoes the soul and releases the mind. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more.
