I began studying cello, violin, and piano in Kiev, Ukraine and continued my music education when I moved to the USA. I received a Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance from Central Washington University and a Masters degree in Cello Performance from Rice University. In 2003,I graduated from Tchaikovsky Music School, where I studied violin pedagogy and performance. In 2008, I graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory of Armenia with honors (with Masters degree in Violin Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I’ve had opportunity to play at many well known concert venues of The USA,include Carnegie Hall, David H.Coch Theater, The Kennedy Center Opera House,Microsoft Theater ,as well touring the world with hundreds of concerts as the concertmaster,associate concertmaster of ShenYun Performing Arts And much bigger ShenYun Symphony .from 2011 to 2013 I worked as member of Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra,and participated in all international festivals and concerts of the orchestra, during that time period I had opportunity to work under the batton of many Great conductors including Christopher Warengreen, Eduardo Topchjian, Karen Durgarian, And had opportunity to work with soloists such as Pinchas Zukerman, Daishin Kashimoto, Maxim Vengerov,Isabelle Faust, Michell Legrand And others in 2012 I participated at I,Culture Festival and toured around Europe ,and that gave me chance to collaborate with such great musicians and teachers as Marshal Marcus, Claire Thompson, in 2005- I was one of the founder members of State Youth Orchestra of Armenia and toured with the orchestra around Europe,in 2007 the orchestra became a member of European Union of Youth orchestras as well the official orchestra of world known Aram Khachaturian competition. I will vary my methods based on the individual student. For students between 3 and 7, I will use the Suzuki method, which in my experience is best for students of that age. For beginners after that, I will use method books and repertoire that not only addresses the students technical and musical development at that point in time, but is also fun and enjoyable to play. I encourage students to play in their school or community orchestra and will assist and encourage students to play in chamber ensembles. Read More

When I teach I always ask my students what I can help them with and if they are working on anything at the moment. Assuming that they are I will ask them to play a little bit of what they have prepared, just so I can get a general sense of where they are in their journey on the violin. After they finish playing I start by explaining what I noticed from a technical standpoint, so that this way they know what to be aware of and work on while they are in the practice room as it pertains to their setup. I have been teaching privately and in group classes for the past 6 years. This past summer, I taught a chamber orchestra of kids ages 6-12 in Narni, Italy. It was a truly rewarding experience. Most of my experience is with teaching private lessons. I am open to teaching all ages and levels. For violin, I teach mostly beginners and intermediate students, but can teach all levels for viola.
