I have performed all over the U.S. in my collegiate touring orchestra and even had the opportunity to go to Europe and perform there as well. I began teaching private students in high school, and have been consistently teaching students in my studio for the past five years. Many of my students have gone on to be very successful in youth orchestras, school programs, and music conservatories. During my senior year at university, I had the opportunity to serve as a faculty member for my university's pre-college music program. I began teaching in 2009, with private students. The following year, I began working with non-profit organization, for two years, that brought music to at-risk and underprivileged children. After working with them, I began working with the Baton Rouge Arts Council, bringing music and music appreciation to elementary school class rooms for children and schools that did not have a music teacher, on staff. I teach a predominantly Suzuki as I learned with the Suzuki method and I am trained as a Suzuki instructor. I don't completely immerse my students with the Suzuki method and while learning how to play by ear, I teach students how to read music so that they are able to compose their own music. Read More
