I focus on effective practice techniques. My students learn the skills of practice routine that build measurable and gratifying progress from week to week. I began teaching violin and viola lessons while pursuing his bachelor's degree in Colorado and instantly fell in love. I have been teaching consistently for the past five years. I encourage a consistent practice session as a key point for students of any ability level, as this helps students progress at a fast rate. I like to keep a balance of teaching classical repertoire to promote technical improvement, as well as music that may be more relevant to my students' lives, such as folk or pop, to keep lessons and the violin fun. When teaching classical violin and piano, she emphasizes listening skills and applied theory to help develop strong sight-reading skills.
