In 2011, I graduated fromSouthern University and AM Collegewith a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance/Music Education. Having both degrees has enhanced my teaching studio for I can give the best of both cases to my students either going for education or performance. I believe in making each lesson personal and fun. I pay close attention to how each student learns best. I start with the basics, building solid technique and gradually introducing more challenging pieces. I love incorporating short theory lessons as my students advance, and with my younger students, I play theory games so they can remember music being made fun! While I use traditional method books, such as Suzuki, I also incorporate pieces my students want to learn. (Example: Disney songs). Read More

I've performed in several orchestras at the college level and competed in a variety of fiddle contests throughout the state of Texas, most recently the Fiddler's Frolics in Hallettsville, Texas. I have been a volunteer after-school violin instructor in the Houston Independent School District (Roosevelt Elementary, Gallegos Elementary, and Martinez Elementary) and local Jewish community centers. I'm also very active in the Houston opera and theater communities and have performed in nearly a dozen productions in the area, often in small accompanying orchestras and as a soprano and/or actress.
