Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! I tailor things to each students age, level and goals. I think anyone is able to learn an instrument and understand that we each learn and approach things differently. Some students are more oral or visual learners. I have been playing flute since 7th grade and marching percussion since 8th grade (I am in my 3rd year in high school). I have been playing string instruments for a year and a half after taking classes in college. I have also been playing piano since I was about 10 and have picked up different instruments along the way like clarinet. We focus on establishing foundations and building a repertoire which the student truly enjoys. I have also compiled many unique studies that truly build essential abilities and allow for an interesting and unique approach.
