I want to make sure that I am communicating with each individual in a way that they will understand and be successful with, because the student is the most important variable. I began the study of trumpet in 1965 under the instruction of Les Beigle, noted Seattle trumpeter. In 1969, I graduated from Snohomish (WA) High School, where he played solo trumpet in the high school band under the direction of Edward Peterson. I am a young and easygoing instructor looking for beginner and intermediate students to teach and introduce to music. I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I recently moved to Washington State with my partner for job opportunities in the state. Percussion is my primary instrument, but I learned how to teach other instruments in College.
