I started giving trombone lessons to grade and high school student's since 2005. In 2006 I started leading concert and jazz bands. Immediately out of college in 2008 I worked as a music teacher teaching guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and voice for 3 years. In 2011, I moved to Peru where I was the #1 on call jazz trombonist in Lima, and was a trombone professor at the National Conservatory of music where I taught trombone technique and jazz improvisation. I was hired by Fletcher Academy, a private boarding academy, to teach concert band class for the high school and the elementary school as well as music classes for other area private grade schools. My student's quickly found out that I am in love with concert band! I have taught piano, trumpet, euphonium, french horn, trombone, and percussion lessons for 8 years. Even though I received my Masters degree in Trumpet Performance 30 years ago I have remained an active player in classical, big band, musical theater and church settings and enjoy sharing my experience and teaching backgrounds to inspire and motivate trumpet students of all ages.
