I like to understand a student on a musical level, thus letting their ability level and their drive push me in the direction most useful for the student's success. I encourage them by setting specified goals and show them how to attain them while guiding them through any necessary musical concepts they may meet along the way. I gain from my students' accomplishments a sense of pride, which makes me work just as hard for my students as they do for me. Read More

My goal is to equip each student with the necessary tools to become the best versions of themselves as people, musicians, educators, and creatives. The skills we learn studying music, such as accountability, time management, team collaboration, perseverance and communication are extremely valuable skills vital in virtually every facet of life. I am committed to creating an environment where students feel safe, inspired and confident to explore their own creativity, to connect with the music and their own lives, and to foster a lifelong appreciation of music that will travel with them long after they leave my studio. As adults we quickly lose patience and revert to bad habits when it comes to practice, and that slows growth, develops poor technique and narrows our abilities to only what we currently know.
