I've been teaching in the greater Los Angeles area for almost 20 years, teaching students from ages 4 - 92 (yes, really! 92!). While learning a song or piece of music, I teach the student pertinent music concepts and saxophone technique. I find piano such a wonderful tool for personal growth and I incorporate it into a healthy relaxing life. My number one priority with my teaching is to make sure the student first and foremost feels safe and has fun as they watch themselves grow to do things on the piano that translate on and off the bench. I'm a lifelong musician with a strong passion for the saxophone. I began my life in music with the clarinet, later picking up alto and tenor saxophone as well as piano. I graduated from School of the Arts High School in 2009 and brought my tenor to UCLA, where I played in every band that I could.
