I love kids and music and decided to combine the two. Piano lessons from fourth grade through high school furthered my love for instruments. I played flute and piccolo through high school and then graduated with my Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education from Troy in 2005. We learn at different paces. For me to see someone accomplish a goal is a reward in itself and they should be proud as well they even accomplished something that is so major. I set realistic goals for my students each lesson and from there we add another goal to add to the last goal. I began playing my secondary instrument (trumpet) in 1970, and have studied conducting with symphony orchestras and concert bands.
