Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I am currently earning my doctorate degree in saxophone performance from Florida State University, studying with Dr. Geoffrey Deibel. I hold degrees from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, studying with Professor Zachary Shemon and from Montclair State University, studying with Professor Stacy Wilson. Throughout my studies, I have garnered awards, including first prize in the Montclair State University Concerto Competition for 2016 and 2017, as well as the Missouri State MTNA Competition in 2018. For beginning students I focus on the fundamentals of playing a saxophone: Setting up your instrument, reading music, breath training, and embouchure. Once the student progresses to a bit higher level, we start with rudimentary songs that allow the student to work on playing full songs. For more musically experienced students new to saxophone, I still start with the same foundational training and set up, but have a more rapid approach to having them play full songs in genre's they enjoy. Over the years, I've learned that every single student learns differently in addition to going at their own pace. Anyone at any age CAN learn music! I've found that presenting multiple solutions to varying problems gives the students the best chance to succeed and it's not that someone cannot learn, they just haven't been presented with an explanation they can understand and clicks for them.
