I started teaching back in high school to marching band students that wanted to play saxophone. That experience turned into a passion that carried into college where I taught music ed students as well as anyone else that wanted to learn the saxophone. As a teacher, I encourage consistent practice on a regular basis to all my students so they can achieve what they wish to achieve. My greatest joy in teaching is seeing my students surpass me and go on to become musicians that love expressing their souls through song! It is my desire to see each student progress at their own rate without stress. first I make it a point to find out why they want to learn and where do they picture themselves going with this ability. I am a driven player who believes ardently in the practice of fundamentals and the accuracy of intonation. I auditioned for the U.S Army Band in 2004 and spent 10 years traveling with the group. During this time, I played venues all over the world, including Japan, Korea, Germany, and Iraq among others, and learned to play many different styles of music.
