For my beginning classical music students, I require four inexpensive keyboard books for learning and skills. I use the John Thompson series for basic learning. A notespeller by Alfred is used for theory. In addition, I use two other study books. The Alfred Technic book is aimed at measurably increasing a student's skill at the keyboard.
