I am very patient with my students. I stay positive and encourage their improvements. I review material that they are having trouble with and encourage them to keep trying. I make sure they are progressing in their book at a pace that works for them so they will continue to learn but not get overwhelmed. My name is Debra and I am 52 years old. I have spent most of my life in music. I learned piano at a music school here in Tulsa starting at the age of 4 years old until graduating from high school. I went into teaching music at an early learning school which I thoroughly enjoyed and probably inspired me to be the teacher I am today. I began teaching cello in the year 2007 as a way to help my high school orchestra teacher. From there I began to teach privately during my undergrad from 2008 and through my master's degree until present day. Currently I teach mainly through the Oklahoma Conservatory of Music.
