Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I will also help a student with any outside pieces for school or the community. Piano Lessons: For beginning students who are very young, I start with Bastien Piano Basics or Hal Leonard Essential Elements. For adults/teens, I use the KJOS Bastien book for adults or the upper level books by Hal Leonard. I also have my students play popular pieces or holiday pieces of their choosing in addition to their classical repertoire. Read More

I'm fortunate to have been a music tutor/instructor for as long as I've been singing. In 2007, I began tutoring music theory while attending school; two years later, I became an associate for Saied Music Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During my time at Saied, I taught piano and voice privately, while also working as a print music specialist. In 2015, I began teaching for the Central Community Music School in Edmond, Oklahoma and have worked with students from age five to age forty and up. Read More

I love teaching music and am very excited to have the chance to teach new students in the Tulsa area. I grew up in Broken Arrow where I was a member of the Pride playing flute and piccolo. I also was in the Tulsa Youth Symphony and All State Orchestra. I am very happy to be back in the Tulsa area. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma State University, Master of Music degree from University of Minnesota, and a Master of Science degree in Music Education from Syracuse University. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Alfred's beginner method. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire in line with the students interests, encouraging a love of music of a multitude of different styles and genres. First, I feel like the best thing to do is to get to know what ever student I am working with. Learning how they learn and how they are wired are the key to even being acceptable. It is so important to intentionally build trust and learn what they relate to in their world.
