Instruments: Guitar, Voice, Drums, Bass Guitar, Synthesizer, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

For someone with no experience on guitar I'll typically begin with scales, and familiarizing with the guitar. For bass; exactly the same as guitar to start, drums would start with with your basic 2,4 beat, and familiarization with parts (snare, hi hat, etc). Vocalist I would always start with a warm up, basics, and note reciting. For keyboard beginners I would show them their A,B,C's as far as how to access those, and we'd start messing with different shapes, and songs almost right away. Read More

By being creative and willing to explore, I help students stay interested and motivated, and have fun discovering and developing their talents. I assess the learning style, interests, and abilities of each student, and select methods and materials accordingly. I give theory instruction in the lesson, as appropriate, and music from method books and other sources. I provide time for exploring any original ideas, and any variety of genres the student is interested in, or that I think might be beneficial. Read More

Reward systems are implemented with social reinforcement and earned graduation plans (free strings, picks, CD’s, books, etc.). I cater to the wishes and dreams of the student, while directing them to meet the requirements to obtain those wishes and dreams. Nothing is forced, compliance is always granted and earned, determined work ethic is displayed throughout. Read More

I develop a lesson plan and schedule that begins with the musical interests and passions of the student, their favorite bands, favorite songs and musical styles. From there I take each of their favorite pieces of music and demonstrate how the building blocks of music were used to create each, and how they can not only recreate their favorites, but start to create their own musical identity. Instruments: Guitar, Music, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

For all of my students, I like to blend what they need to know and what they want to know. I find that especially teaching guitar, learning it is very goal oriented. My students and I always come up with their goals during each lesson so they can have something to work up to for each week. Practice does make perfect, so I do strongly encourage practicing at least a couple hours a day. Read More

It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
