Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

During a lesson we will work on technical exercises which are actually really fun and then on a song which the student can choose. The student accompany him/herself on guitar or piano (in the studio) or I can accompany the student on the piano or we can play a backing track (instrumental version of a song). If you want me to accompany you, please bring a lead sheet and/or lyrics of the song you want to work on. For beginning students, I usually like to start with figuring out their goals. This can be anything from wanting to learn a song, compose music, or simply just figure out some chords to play at a bonfire or social gatheirng. My goal is always to discover what it is that inspires the student to play and have fun doing it, as I believe this is the ultimate motivator for consistent practice and development. That is why I often start by asking the student first if there is anything in particular they want or need to learn, whether it's a song from a movie, video game, or popular radio hit.
