Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

In addition to teaching material directly, I prefer to cultivate the skill of teaching oneself. Instead of scripting the direction of the students growth I help them to follow their own path by accentuating the qualities that make them special and removing technical roadblocks. My own education straddles many schools (rock, jazz, folk/bluegrass, classical, hip-hop, dance, experimental, funk, etc.), formal and informal. For beginning (child or adult), we'll begin with a very simple set of chord shapes and scales that don't require too much physical dexterity. We will incorporate this into a song that the student can play at their own pace, to begin strengthening their fingers while enjoying themselves. As the students progress, we will move into more complex chord structures and begin to incorporate basic music theory along with modal scale exercises. Read More

Hailing from Philadelphia area, I grew up in a family of professional musicians. My diverse musical life has brought me to a number of stages: solo recitals, jazz big band, and electro-rock to name a few. While I love playing, I bring just as much passion to teaching, and love helping people of all ages achieve their goals and to help them find their way.
