I usually recommend piano as a starting instrument for children at least 5 years of age. Most often, I use the Alfred Piano Library Series of coordinating lesson books. I am most comfortable teaching beginner to intermediate level piano students. My main teaching instrument is Flute, and I can successfully teach ages 9 and up depending on the size of the student (sometimes younger if a curved head joint is used). My teaching experience dates back to 2013, where I first began tutoring local junior high students for the summer band program. I have been teaching private lessons and studying how to be a better educator ever since. My private home studio has been running for over 3 years now. I teach the student how to practice to reach goals and help the student set goals. I teach in terms of musicality followed by technicality.
