The greatest experience from high school was being accepted to Indiana University's Saxophone Academy, a week long camp in the summer for advanced saxophonist to work with the world renown classical saxophonist Otis Murphy. I have been very successful in college as well, maintaining a 3.8 GPA, participating in many ensembles and contests, and achieving principle positions in the top music groups the university has to offer. To me as a musician, teaching is as important and as necessary to our art as performing, and it is always a joy to share that art with students. I graduated from Kent State University in 2015 with my Bachelor of Science in Music Education, followed by a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance in 2019, and recently completed an Artist Diploma from UC-CCM. Although a bassoonist primarily, I've performed with orchestras such as the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and the Warren Philharmonic, as well as bands like the Akron Symphonic Winds, the Cleveland Winds, and the Packard Band.
