I love the opportunity to work one on one because every student's needs are so different. I offer a relaxed atmosphere while encouraging excellence in areas of music such as: Performance, tone, rhythm, articulation, dynamics, phrasing, breathing, ear training, music theory/composition, and music history. I find that students who practice during the week have the most successfully lessons and enjoy learning new pieces. I began teaching for a local studio in 1974. I taught trumpet and flute (13 students to begin). Since that time I have taught music to referrals from friends and family. In the last 25 years I have had the opportunity to learn in small group settings (from duo to 15 "voice" big band).
