I have been playing the saxophone for 12 years and began teaching around 5 years ago at Beavercreek Schools. I've been playing a variety of instruments since I first taught myself a few tunes on the piano at the age of 8. I settled on clarinet as my primary in 2004 and have picked up saxophone, flute, and guitar since then. I have received formal training on each instrument along with a fair amount of self instruction. As a performer, I have played in various settings ranging from a soloist in front of an orchestra to a guitarist in a blues and rock band! Read More

We will usually start with some kind of warm-up exercise, move to technical/flexibility development, followed by repertoire and etudes. I keep a shared document with all of the items discussed in each lesson as a record for the student and include suggested listening/ reading for the week. Read More
