I set realistic goals for each student depending on their starting point. Assessing where each student is with their playing is the most important aspect of teaching. I believe in a gentle but firm approach to teaching. Also I will always meet my students where they are at individually and build them up from there. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" sort of method. I know discipline goes hand in hand with music, and the music doesn't come from the instrument but rather the musician.
