My teaching style is fairly easy going. I don't force unrealistic expectations on students because everyone is learning music for a different reason. I like to figure out what their reason is and progress accordingly. I find teaching very rewarding and love to help students learn t love the flute and music. I try to teach music theory as well as flute technique and encourage music appreciation. Challenging h student with new material each lesson and trying to find out what inspires the student helps to keep lessons challenging and interesting. I have been playing flute since 7th grade and marching percussion since 8th grade (I am in my 3rd year in high school). I have been playing string instruments for a year and a half after taking classes in college. I have also been playing piano since I was about 10 and have picked up different instruments along the way like clarinet.
