I love to work with students. I‘m a composer, pianist, conductor, and certificated teacher (in my country). I have been playing piano for 23 years, and have been playing flute for 17 years. I am familiar with music theories and traditional music history from the ancient and medieval to the twenty-first century in details as any other professional composer, so if you are curious to listen to a story or even gossip of someone like Bach, Haydn or Mozart, I can tell you one sometimes. The best part of teaching is seeing the look in my student's eyes as something finally clicks for them. Helping students grow into independent musicians is my main goal as a teacher. I do this through helping the students understand all of the moving parts of music, like the theory behind what they are playing, so that they are able to transfer their knowledge to whatever music they will work on next. I find a great sense of joy in my students developing a passion for music much like my own. It is important to me to include composition, theory, and history in my lessons so that my students can understand music as a whole, rather than just being a talented performer. My favorite part of each lesson is when students make discoveries on their own, and when they realize they are able to answer their own questions. Read More
