The basis for my approach is simply pacing for realistic growth and making sure the student understands that becoming skillful takes time. For example, proving that learning the basics extends into even the most advanced skills in percussion and life in general. I will give continuous gratification in their efforts, while still maintaining a regimented schedule to improvement. Additionally, I encourage my students to practice at home and/or outside of lessons with video assignments and feedback at no additional costs. Read More
